Policies


Payment

All beginning students must pay one lesson in advance.

Receipt of advance payment is not refundable; it is your last payment. You must present this receipt only when terminating your course.


Absences

Cancelled lessons will not be refunded nor rescheduled unless a 24 hour prior notification has been given. Example, if you are cancelling for Monday, you must call on Saturday before 2pm.

If a lesson must be cancelled less than 24 hours, it can only be rescheduled at that point at the teachers convenience and within the same working week, otherwise the lesson will be considered missed and the student will be charged.

If you are contagiously ill, we will allow you to reschedule your lesson less than 24 hours, however, we feel one sick day every 3 months reasonable.

If your teacher is not available for any reason, a qualified substitute teacher will fill in. Teachers are subject to change at any time or per semester.


Lateness

If a student arrives late for his/her lesson it will be considered his/her loss, not the teacher’s loss.

Cancellations

LaSalle Music Academy Inc. reserves the right to reschedule classes due to unforeseen circumstances.


Evaluation Sheet

Students may ask for an evaluation sheet every month for their files. The student will be evaluated on reading skills, scales, exercises, songs, chords, theory, and more.


Discounts

Discounts are granted when purchasing 10 lessons or more (45 minutes or 60 minutes only). These lessons are a package deal, therefore these lessons will not be eligible for cancellation or rescheduling.
